Locks, Keys and Doors for Santee Businesses
Storefronts in Trolley Square, offices on Cuyamaca St, roll-up units off Prospect Ave. We change the locks when someone leaves, build key systems that make sense, and keep the exit devices and closers legal and working.

Employee left? Change the locks today
A manager who walked out with a key ring, a contractor who finished the build-out, a tenant who moved out of the suite: the day it happens is the day the locks should change. We rekey commercial cylinders on site, including the interchangeable-core cylinders common in office buildings, so the doors take a new key within the hour and the old keys are just brass. If copies are the recurring problem, we move you to a restricted keyway: blanks that a hardware store cannot buy, so a key cannot be duplicated without your signature on file with us.
Master key systems
A master key system means the owner carries one key, the manager's key opens the front, the office and the stockroom, and each employee's key opens only what their job needs. We design and pin these for offices, clinics, HOA clubhouses and pool gates in the newer communities, church campuses and multi-tenant buildings. You get a keying chart so that when a key goes missing we know exactly which cylinders to change, not the whole building.
Panic bars, closers and storefront doors
- Exit devices (panic bars). A bar that sticks, a latch that does not catch, an alarm that chirps: we repair or replace them and keep the door compliant with the fire marshal, including the rear exit that never gets used until an inspection.
- Door closers. A closer that slams or will not latch is the most common commercial call we get. We adjust, and when the seals are gone we replace the unit with the correct size for the door.
- Aluminum storefront doors. The narrow-stile glass doors on most Santee retail take a specific style of deadlatch and hook lock. We carry them and the pivots and thresholds that wear out with them.
- Roll-up doors and gates. High-security padlocks and hasps on the light-industrial units, keyed to your building key so the crew is not carrying a bunch of extra keys.
Tenant turnover for landlords and property managers
Commercial suites in the Mission Gorge Rd and Magnolia Ave strip centers, medical and dental offices along Cuyamaca St, and the contractor bays off Prospect Ave all turn over on a schedule. We rekey the suite the day the old tenant is out, hand the new keys to the manager, and keep the record so the building master still works. For an owner of houses or condos rather than suites, residential rekeys are on their own page.
Business lockouts
Opening the shop at 6am and the key snapped in the storefront lock. The office manager on vacation with the only key to the file room. A padlock on a roll-up door whose key is on a ring somebody took home. We open commercial doors without damage, verify that you are the tenant or owner, and if a lock has failed we replace it on the spot so you open on time.
Commercial rekeys from $35 per cylinder plus the service call; systems and door hardware are quoted per job after a quick look. See starting prices
We only publish reviews from real Santee and Lakeside customers, signed with a first name and a neighborhood. This section fills in as the jobs do. Until then, ask us for a reference and we will put you in touch with a recent customer.

Door count, what kind of doors, and what happened. For master key systems, a rough list of who needs to open what is enough to start.
